Grace Ewelike was born in Cameroon and moved to the United States in the 90s. She attained a nursing license with a focus in mental health.

Having achieved success for herself, Grace returned to Nigeria to visit the home she left behind. While there, she met local women who asked where they would get food for their families. Would their children be able to go to school? What if their children got sick, where would they find the funds or even facilities to treat them? Some even wondered where they would sleep for the night.

Grace helped where she could but realized that there needed to be a solution with lasting impact. She founded Hope Ministries Foundation to create a way to give women and children a meaningful way to lift themselves out of poverty with dignity and respect.
